Spotlight – Ajitaa Jagannathan, Technology Graduate

This month’s spotlight is on Ajitaa Jagannathan. Ajitaa studied a Masters in  Computer Science in the university of Edinburgh and is a Technology Graduate

What do you enjoy most about working at BNP Paribas?

BNPP is a very supportive company that values their employees and considers them to be its greatest asset. I’m so grateful that I got a chance to work with BNPP, the growth and learning opportunities in my job excited me the most. There are new challenges to solve every day making the work super interesting  and fun. I look forward to work every day  because I not only know that I can get a lot done with my supportive colleagues but also know that I will have a pleasant experience while I work. Other highlights include – opportunity to work with people from different backgrounds, flexible/hybrid working model, and perfect work life balance.

What are your top tips for preparing for a Graduate Programme?

• One of the best opportunities to get to know your co-workers is through a graduate program. Channel your inner extrovert, say hello and make connections for a lifetime!
• Be prepared to be extra responsible, your work affects others, and the business.
• Put in a little extra effort until you are comfortable in your position.
• If you are unsure – ASK. Don’t be shy to ask questions, no question is too silly for anyone.

What do you think makes for effective teamwork?

• Ensure open communication – welcome diverse opinions from all team members and put together an action plan from all the best ideas.
• Provide constructive criticism.
• Seek help when unsure – collaborate continuously.
• Celebrate successes together.
